Lynn co-chairs the formal education working group in the Communications & Education division.
Learning by Making has been under development since 2013. Lynn was the STEM lead for the original grant, which was funded by the US Department of Education's Investing in Innovation program. She was Project Director for the second five-year grant, which ended in 2024 and was funded by ED's Education Innovation Research program. LbyM's Ninth-grade year-long curriculum is now available free of charge to all. The program continues through 2029 as STEMACES for eighth-grade students, led by Dr. Laura Peticolas.
Lynn is a scientific co-investigator on the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope mission, and was the lead for education and public outreach.
Lynn is a scientific co-investigator on the Swift mission, and was the lead for education and public outreach.
Lynn was the education and public outreach lead for the US portion of the XMM-Newton mission.
Lynn is a scientific co-investigator on the Nustar mission, and was the lead for education and public outreach.
Lynn led the development of a digital-first, two semester online curriculum in Cosmology.
Lynn is the Principal Investigator for NASA's Neurodiversity Network, a new project in NASA's Science Activation program.
