Ph.D., Astrophysics - University of Colorado, Boulder
M.S., Astronomy - University of Washington, Seattle
B.S., Physics - University of California, Davis

Kevin McLin manages the Global Telescope Network at Sonoma State. The GTN is a network of small telescopes used by amateur and professional astronomers and educators to monitor various transient objects in the sky. These include supernovae, AGN, polars and gamma ray bursts, among others. Click on the GTN link above to find you why you might want to become a member.

Here at SSU we operate the Glast Optical Robotic Telescope (GORT), a remotely-run 14-inch Celestron that comprises one node in the GTN. GORT is accessible over the Internet and is available for students at SSU and other schools; both K-12 and undergraduate students are welcome to perform observational programs using GORT. Contact Dr. McLin if you are interested in finding out what this entails.
