More Realistic Animation of LIGO Interferometer

This animation begins with a fly-over of the LIGO Hanford Observatory, Washington State, and then takes the viewer into the Corner Station and the path of the laser, through a complex array of sophisticated mode cleaning, power amplifying, and ultimately signal detecting equipment.The means by which LIGO is able to detect a gravitational wave is made evident through this accurate depiction of the inner workings of the laser interferometer, the animated sequences built from the working 3D CAD drawings of Advanced LIGO.Note: there is no narration yet.
