His last days

A note from Rachel

(A note from one of his riders, only days before he passed away)

My Ziggy's gone, his halter no longer by my door, he left at dawn, and as I slept I felt him go, returns no more, I will not watch the ocean, my Ziggy's gone, no miracle will ever bring him home again, bring him home again

My Ziggy's gone, I know that kiss will be my last, no more his love, the look upon his eyes has passed, I sit alone, while I watch the ocean, my Ziggy's gone, no miracle will every bring him home again, bring him home again.

(To the tune of the song by Dido called "My Lover's Gone," she heard it right after he died)

"Ziggy was by far the sweetest horse I have ever met. When I took care of him at the ranch he was always the first to greet me, and he spent many hours giving me wonderful kisses. I hope this site does you justice Ziggy."
